Dongyuan Liu

Dongyuan Liu is a new media artist working with audio-visual practice and interactive installations. He approaches artificial intelligence as a medium, examining the data and structures behind machine learning algorithms to understand what this medium is and how it can be reshaped. His practice focuses not only on what machine learning can do, but on what it is, and how its logic, material, and aesthetics can be reconfigured into perceptible experiences. Alongside his art practice, he is an educator and public practitioner in computer arts and interaction, sharing creative coding and new media methods through courses, workshops, and talks.
